Educational Opportunities
Educational opportunities available through the North Dakota Credit Union League are varied in delivery and offerings. In addition to the onsite meetings and conferences the League plans and offers on a statewide basis, we partner with Leagues from around the country in providing regional meetings, teleconferences, and Internet sessions. Self-study courses, national meetings, conferences, and Internet sessions are also offered through the Credit Union National Association (CUNA).
Additional Career Advancement
Education and career advancement in the North Dakota credit union movement is not only achieved through educational sessions, but also through volunteer opportunities. Volunteering as a credit union chapter representative or as a member of one of the many League committees also lends a valuable opportunity to develop one’s personal career.
League Library
The League maintains an extensive library of training aids for credit union and chapter use. In the form of videotape and instructional programs, books, and manuals, the subject matter covers all segments of the credit union movement. Also, current and past issues of credit union periodicals are maintained for use by credit union personnel.
Scholarships and Distance Rebates
The League provides scholarships for credit union staff and volunteers to attend any CUNA School or Conference as well as for the self-study courses available through CUNA. In addition, distance rebates are offered for attendance at regional conferences sponsored by the North and South Dakota Credit Union Leagues.
The Arnold C. Paulson Scholarship is available for any credit union staff or volunteer to attend the League’s annual convention each year.
